I spent years convinced that getting better meant never slipping again. Depression, not OCD, but the math felt the same. One bad day and every good one before it stopped counting. You checked, felt guilty, and made breakfast. That quiet sequence probably says more about where you are than two clean weeks ever could.

Really great stuff. I'm still on that journey of learning to accept mistakes as not being a full unraveling of everything I'm working toward. It's hopeful to read about your experience. <3

Thanks, Annie! I think we might always be on that journey one way or another. I knew this in my bones when I wrote this but whatever cocktail of hormones, feelings, and OCD is trying me this evening lol butttt there’s always hope at the end of the spiral. I can’t wait for your food tour post tomorrow!
